US TV STAR FANCIES NIGERIA

Prominent American TV  host, Candace Owens has expressed her deep admiration for Nigeria.

The popular political analyst during a TV show, revealed that she fancies Nigeria so much especially the Nigerian people and their unique cultural heritage which reflects on their pattern and procedure of marriage.

Cadence Owens argued that the Nigerian culture makes marriages attractive due to the value and affinity the people have for marriage and their culture respectively.

“I wish I were Nigerian. I do a little bit, but I’m not. They do have a good culture… I’m a Nigerian stan. They are funny. They have very good values,” she said in a video.

She further emphasized that the rich cultural values of Nigerians characterize their life and reflect in whatever career path they venture into.

“I’m a Nigerian stan. I think Nigerians have their culture together. Whenever you meet a Nigerian, whether a doctor in the US, their families take marriage very seriously”, she said.

The remark by the American television show host sparked varying reactions from Nigerians as some Nigerians felt dignified by his remark amidst the increasingly poor reputation of the Nigerian nation on the international stage.

However, some Nigerians in their cynical reactions, urged Cadence Owens to be wary of whatever or whoever implanted such a notion in her. They argued that  Cadence Owens has superficial knowledge of Nigerians and their numerous cultural challenges, especially those that directly affect marriages.
