FOR SUCCESS, THE ROAD CAN BE ROUGH

In today’s world, quite a number of people have lost their faith in God because of one circumstance or the other. Some expected the God of miracle but He’s slow to answer. Some expected the automatic answer to their prayers but our human mentality defines God’s reaction, if God is slow to give us answers. Some folks even think that because they’re following God, no challenge should come their way.

Jesus said in the Book of John 16:33 that “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. Jesus emphatically said that He was giving out the information so that we can have peace while in trouble. He said irrespective of your submission to Him as your Savior, you can’t elude the tribulation that is in the world.

Jesus never said to you that you wouldn’t be troubled. He never said that failure wouldn’t come your way. He never said that you wouldn’t be disappointed. He never said that tough time wouldn’t visit you. It is a wrong gospel if people are made to believe that following Christ will end the problem in their lives. What following Christ brings in tough time is peace which serves as divine strength to scale through.

God in the Book of Proverbs said “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”. This mean that you’re not expected to faint in the days of your trial. You’re not expected to faint when it seems God’s not interested in answering your prayers. You’re not expected to faint when it seems God will not deliver you. You’re not expected to faint when it seems that the failure is the end. You’re not expected to faint when life seems choking.

Your faintness is said by the scripture as a symbol that you have not been following Christ well which resulted in lack of strength to scale through. Psalms 37:39 says “But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble”.

There are quite a number of scriptures where God promised freedom from liberty such as:

Proverbs 11:8 which reads “The righteous is delivered out of trouble…”

Proverbs 12:13 “…but the just shall come out of trouble”.

Psalms 50:15 “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me”.

Psalms 138:7 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me”.

Are you currently in a situation where it seems life will end? Are you already fainting? Is your strength fading? God is saying that He’s interested in your case; just don’t let your heart weary. Hold unto God, HE’S COMING FOR YOU SOON.
