A LOOK AT RITA, BOB MARLEY’S WIFE

In the 1990s, Bob Marley’s wife relocated to Ghana with her late husband’s family, and as of today, she has spent some 20 years in the African country.

Rita Marley now has a Ghanaian name, Nana Afua Abodea after being granted a citizenship by the Ghanaian Government in 2013.

Before getting married to Reggae legend, Bob Marley, Nana Rita Marley began her musical career as a vocalist in an all-female group, performing with top bands of the time including Jonny Nash.

She released her simple, “One Draw”, in 1982 and it was a major hit in Europe.

When Bob Marley was once asked if there was a perfect woman, he said:

“Who cares about perfection? Even the moon is not perfect, it is full of craters.

“The sky is always infinite, but often cloudy.

“The sea is incredibly beautiful, but salty and dark in the depths.

“So everything that is beautiful isn’t perfect, it is special. Therefore every woman can be special to someone”.
