MERCY JOHNSON: THE STORY OF A HOUSEMAID

There was a time I earned only N10,000 as salary, life was so hard and I worked as a housemaid just to survive. Every day felt heavy but I refused to give up, I kept showing up even when nothing seemed to change because I believed my story would not end there.

One day a friend noticed my hard work and told a movie producer about me, that was how I got my first role. I played the part of a housemaid and it came from my heart because I had lived that pain. When I was paid N100,000 for that scene I cried, I felt seen, I felt valued, I felt alive for the first time.

Now I always tell people to keep going no matter how hard it feels, believe in yourself because one day your story will change too, just like mine did.
