I was privileged to showcase and sell the unique tourism assets of Ekiti State to the distinguished members of the Joint Tax Board of Nigeria during their Annual Conference held at the iconic Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort, Ikogosi-Ekiti. This remarkable opportunity was made possible through the foresight and proactiveness of Mr. Niran Olatona, the dynamic Chairman of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service, whose belief in inter-ministerial collaboration has continued to open new frontiers for the state.
Following my presentation, the Tax Administrators embarked on an experiential tour, beginning with the world-renowned Ikogosi Warm and Cold Spring—a natural wonder where warm and cold waters flow side by side without mixing. They later journeyed to the breathtaking Arinta Waterfall in Ipole-Iloro, a site of serene beauty and cultural significance.
The climax of the excursion was nothing short of historic: His Royal Majesty, the Olupole of Ipole-Iloro, in a rare display of humility and royal passion for heritage, personally drove to the Waterfall to welcome the guests and lead them on a guided tour of the majestic site. His presence elevated the experience, leaving the visitors not only enthralled by the natural wonders of Ekiti but also deeply touched by the warmth and cultural depth of its people.
