OMOTOLA: EVEN BAD BOYS RESPECT ME

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, a veteran Nollywood actress, has stated that when she was 15 years old she went to a ghetto area in Mushin, Lagos State to borrow money.

In an interview recently, Omotola said she needed the money to pay for her brother’s school fees. She said those in charge of lending money in the area were bad boys and they could have physically abused her there.

Omotola said by God’s grace, they didn’t harm her and eventually lent her the money she came for. She added that she could not repay the money and the men began threatening her life. She said they later came to her home and took away her family’s television and DVD player.

In Omotola’s words: “There was also a time when a colleague in the industry took me to some place in Mushin, some ghetto place. We walked through this rough place, I was about 15 years old then. We got to this place and these bad boys were there like in a sitting room, and I begged them that I was looking for money for my brother’s school fees.

And this guy looked at me. They could have abused me”
