Minister for Interior, Hon Tunji Ojo, said this while announcing his appointment as political leader in Ondo state.
Ojo, recently announced his appointment during a meeting held with all the local government APC chairmen and leaders in Abuja.
This development marks a significant shift in the political landscape of the state.
Ojo revealed that the President had directed him to inform the leaders that he had chosen Governor Ayedatiwa as the preferred candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial elections in the state.
It was also disclosed that the President had allocated substantial funds to support the project, underlining the government’s commitment to ensuring a successful campaign.
The primary objective of the meeting was to foster peace within the party because of the outcome of the primary which he said he had been directed by the president to select the electoral and appeal committee that will be announced during the coming week.
He said he has been directed by the president to streamline the election process to ensure that the party takes responsibility for overseeing the election results ensuring that Gov Ayedatiwa is deliverd.
The minister emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion in the party, saying the president has made arrangements for a meeting with all the aspirants and some party leaders to secure victory at the polls.
