ADEBOYE: MINISTER WANTED TO REVOKE RCCG C of O

Recalling the tale of a federal minister who once threatened to drive the church out of its location along the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has issued a dire warning to those who resist God’s work.

Adeboye said in a recent sermon that he learnt of the minister’s threat while on a missionary trip. According to reports, the government official said he would see to it that RCCG’s certificate of occupancy (C of O) was revoked. Adeboye recalled that a federal minister had once boasted that he would ban the Redeemed Christian Church of God off the motorway.

“I was away doing God’s job, so I wasn’t present. I laughed when I heard it. “I will ensure that the certificate of occupancy is revoked,” he declared. “While the minister boasted of his political influence, he was unaware of the reality that God alone determines who remains in power,” the famous clergyman added.

He will be here now and gone tomorrow if he revokes his own certificate of residency in this planet, which my father signed, Adeboye recounted. He took the testimony as an opportunity to warn people and governmental leaders against trying to reject God or obstruct His activity. “Avoid opposing God.” You’re not going to win. He is supreme. “Don’t oppose Him,” Adeboye said.

Adeboye also took advantage of the event to make a plea to unbelievers and people who have not yet given their lives to Christ. In addition to being pointless, he cautioned that defying God could endanger one’s destiny.
He declared, “Your future will be assured if you surrender to Him.” Therefore, please give your life to Jesus if you are listening to me and haven’t already.

Give yourself over to the Lord of Hosts Himself, the One who is all-powerful and unstoppable. God’s sovereignty transcends governments, authorities, and political power, the RCCG head underlined. He believes that any effort to subvert God’s authority is certain to fail.

Adeboye said, “This story serves as a reminder that no man, regardless of position, can oppose the Almighty.” “Those who boast against God are merely engaged in an unwinnable battle.” The story comes as RCCG is still growing internationally, with Redemption City on the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway serving as a gathering place for worshippers and drawing millions of people for its yearly Holy Ghost Congress and other special gatherings. Delivered with a mix of humour and gravity, Adeboye’s message reaffirmed his long-held belief that believers should put their faith in God since only he can guarantee their future. Adeboye came to the conclusion, “Don’t waste your energy resisting Him.” Rather, give up control and allow Him to guide you.
