AGU CELEBRATES IBU, ONYEKA, MOHBAD, OTHERS

Popular Nollywood  actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has paid a glowing tribute to several well-meaning Nigerians who died between 2023 and 2024.

In a video shared on social media on Thursday, August 29, 2024, the actor prayed for the repose of the souls of Jnr Pope, Mr Ibu, Onyeka Onwenu, Mohbad, Herbert Wigwe and many others who have passed away between last year and this year.

Nollywood actor,  John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, died at the age of 62, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Nigerian music legend, Onyeka Onwenu, popularly known as the “Elegant Stallion”, died at the age of 72.

Onwenu reportedly collapsed after performing at the 80th birthday party of Stella Okolie, chief executive officer of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.

She was said to have been rushed to Reddington Hospital, where she reportedly passed away.

On his part, Junior Pope passed away on April 10 2024, alongside four crew members after their boat capsized in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta State, while on their way to the movie location.

On 9th February 2024, Wigwe, the group managing director and CEO of Access Bank Plc died alongside his wife and son on Friday, February 9, 2024, in a helicopter accident in the United States of America.
