“The result was correct. We had our chances and Nigeria had their chances.”

Broos said the character of the players helped the team to overcome a stressful trip to Nigeria and a Super Eagles that fought to win the game.

“I am really proud of this group. It was tough for us all of Wednesday, 20 hours on the road, we did it on character, we did it on mentality,” he saluted. “It was not easy for us, but I knew they will fight till the last second.”
