D1 NARRATES HOW LADY CAUSED RIFT WITH KENNY

Dayo Adeneye, the vibrant entertainment entrepreneur and co-founder of Kennis Music with his partner Kenny Ogungbe, has shared details about a tough period in their long-standing partnership.

During a lively chat with comedian Teju Babyface on his show, Adeneye vividly described the stormy moments when he and Keke had a falling out.

He remembered turning to his father for guidance during the rift. His father’s counsel was surprisingly straightforward yet deep: no issue should drive them apart, and if their dispute revolved around money or a woman, they needed to resolve it amicably.

This unconventional wisdom left Teju Babyface in fits of laughter, struggling to comprehend how such a simple solution could be effective.

Adeneye emphasized that finances were never a point of contention between him and Keke Ogungbe. Their rift stemmed from a deeply personal and emotional matter: a woman they both had romantic interests in.

Adeneye and Ogungbe’s bond had endured numerous challenges since the inception of Kennis Music in 2000, a record label that launched several Nigerian music icons to stardom, such as 2face, Eedris AbdulKareem, Tony Tetuila, Sound Sultan, Jaywon, and many more.

This recent development follows closely after D1 Adeneye’s strong criticism of Nigerian women who, in his view, prioritize their physical beauty over their intellect.

In a fiery showdown on the Honest Bunch Podcast, D1 didn’t hold back as he criticized the trend of women confidently showcasing their “assets” online, aiming to attract male attention through provocative posts.

D1 was direct in his critique of the notion of solely depending on looks to sustain a relationship.
