HOW KEMI AFOLABI REGAINED HER MONEY

Kemi Afolabi has given an update on the issue she shared in her Instagram page on Tuesday, explaining how her outcry on the internet worked for her like magic as the bank refunded her hours later.

Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has reached out to the public for assistance as she finds herself embroiled in a challenging situation with a bank.

Following her return from a pilgrimage to Mecca, Afolabi revealed that she had mistakenly transferred the sum of N510, 000 to a customer’s account in April, and to her dismay, both parties happened to use the same bank.

In a plea for assistance, Afolabi took to her Instagram page, she posted: “I mistakenly transferred the sum of five hundred and ten thousand naira to a customer’s account! We both use the same bank. Since April 1st, 2023. Eyin fans mi e ma gba mi keh. My tired is exhausted honestly!”

Expressing her growing impatience and weariness, the actress directed her appeal directly at her bank, urging them to take appropriate action.

It’s been over 3 months! They held on to my five hundred and ten thousand naira. I have been patient, I am exhausted. She wrote.

In response to Afolabi’s plea for assistance, her fans and colleagues shared words of encouragement and guidance to her on how to navigate the situation effectively while some shared their experiences using the bank.

Expressing her gratitude to her fans for helping her to drag the bank, she wrote: “The bank’s Fraud Unit made sure the money I erroneously transferred to their customer is returned to my account.

“My dear! Never you underestimate the power of social media. Thank you all.”
