I’M NOT A NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, YOMI FASH-LANSO

Actor Yomi Fash-Lanso has stated that he wants to be addressed as a Nigerian actor and not a Nollywood actor.

The 55-year-old said this in recent interview in which he also clarified that he does not identify as a celebrity, but rather as a person dedicated to the craft of acting.

Despite being a movie practitioner for years, Yomi playfully discouraged fans from calling him a legend, saying that he is an up and coming actor.

The actor acknowledged the esteemed status of his colleagues such as Oga Bello, Baba Wande, Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, and Richard Mofe Damijo, affirming that they are rightfully deserving the title of movie legends.

“Yomi Fash-Lanso is not a Nollywood actor, he is Nigerian actor. He is not a celeb. I’m not a legend too, I’m just coming up. If you are looking for legends, go and meet Oga Bello, JideKosoko, Baba Wande, RMD, AntarLaniyan. We are just coming up,” he said in parts.

In 2014, Yomi was nominated for  best supporting actor at the 10th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for his role in Omo Elemosho.

He currently stars as Tony Adeleke in the Showmax series  Wura.
