NBC, OTHERS SIGN PACT WITH MINISTRY

The Honorable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe and the Director-General, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Charles Ebuebu, with other heads of agencies and parastatals under the Ministry have signed Performance Bonds with a directive by the Minister for them to work assiduously towards communicating the successes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Hon. Minister, who made the call in Abuja on Tuesday while declaring open a one-day retreat for Directors of the Ministry and heads of its agencies and parastatals, also remarked that “Since the advent of the administration of President Tinubu, there has been a structured agenda to achieve a Renewed Hope Initiative with all MDAs involved. “All of you here are responsible for delivering our results to this office as heads or Delivery Officers”, he stressed.

Alhaji Idris reiterated that he and the Permanent Secretary signed a performance bond with the President to guarantee that there is a fulfilment of the ministry’s mandate. He further pointed out that: “During this retreat, I plan to get the heads of parastatals to sign the performance bond as well”.

The Hon. Minister, who identified programmes, interventions and initiatives such as the improved minimum wage, student loans, consumer credit, loans to big and small businesses as well as different support grants, also said the Government is not resting on its oars regarding infrastructure and social projects around the Country.

“We must understand these efforts before we can communicate them successfully,” he said.

Alhaji Idris used the occasion to thank the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman for the passion and visibility she has brought to the assignment.

Some of the participants at the event include but not limited to: The Directors General of Nigerian Television Authority, Comrade Abdulhameed Dembos; Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Dr. Mohammed Bulama; Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace; Directors in the Ministry of information and National Orientation.
