NIGERIA SHOULD STOP RECYCLING LEADERS, FAROUNBI

Media icon and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr Yemi Farounbi, has said that Nigerians are facing so much uncertainty because of the choices we have made and are still making.

It will be recalled that Dr. Farounbi in a recent interview said that he wanted to see rebirth of a new Nigeria before his death.

In a new Facebook post, the media icon revealed that Nigerians has not stopped recycling leaders who crippled its economic and structural architecture.

He further tasked Nigerians to start making fresh patriotic choices.

His post reads:

“Yes… the art of uncertainty… uncertainty in the future of Nigeria.. be it politically, economically and socially. So much uncertainty because of choices that we have made and are still making as a country.

“We choose to plod further on a wrong structural path. We keep on struggling on misdirected economic paths. We keep labouring on wrong social and cultural paths. We keep on doing the same thing over and over like a lunatic and expect different results. We keep on recycling those who crippled our economic and structural architecture, debauched our moral values in the task of rebuilding the country they are vicariously liable in destroying.

“We keep on repeating the same choices since 1960 that gave us the best president we never had… that keeps making our yesterday better than today. We keep saluting on our political landscape and hugging the media limelight those whose vision, competencies and character have taken us and taking us further, farther and deeper into the tunnel of hunger, poverty, deformed, stunted and retarded economic, political and social development and growth. We must make new choices and commitments that will lead to a new path…a new road… for creating Nigeria that will provide optimum good for the maximum number of Nigerians… not only for those who feel entitled or those who believe that they must be settled.

“WE MUST SEE CLEARLY NOW THAT HUNGER, POVERTY AND INSECURITY HAVE BECOME THE CURRENT LANGUAGE AND CURRENCY FOR ALL NIGERIANS.

“It’s time to make fresh patriotic choices that will lead us to the desired goal of LIFE MORE ABUNDANT at least in my life time.”

Happy Sunday
