ODEGBAMI CELEBRATES FEMALE GRADUATE ATHLETE

Dr. Olusegun Odegbami, Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a forward, has celebrated the achievements of the first female graduate of his sports academy, Segun Odegbami International College and Sports Academy, SOCA.

In a Facebook post tagged “SOCA Scores another First!” he wrote:

“Like confetti, blessings are falling from heaven on Segun Odegbami International College and Sports Academy, SOCA.

24 hours after announcing the good news on Michael Damilare Adedokun, the SOCA graduate that was awarded American Universities’ highest award in football, another big blessing has landed on the lap of Nigeria’s foremost sports secondary school.

The first ever female graduate of SOCA to be recruited into an American University since the specialist institution was founded 17 years ago has ‘happened’.

Victoria Collins will be departing the shores of Nigeria today on a Delta Airline flight to Cumberland University, Lebanon, Tennessee, USA.

Victoria is the best graduating student/athlete of the 2023/2024 set. She has been offered a full scholarship (valued at over $50,000 annually) to study Sports Business. She will be representing the University in athletics and football.

At 17 years of age she is set to take USA Collegiate sport by storm, and conquer the world of sports in the next few years.

Watch out for Victoria. We wish her the very best on this pioneering journey.
