ONANUGA, OSENI DISAGREE ON FG’S ACHIEVEMENTS

Nigerian Journalist and Television presenter, Rufai Oseni has said that contrary to the Nigeria President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga’s assertion that Tinubu prevented Nigeria from bleeding to death in his first year, the President’s efforts have instead reopened old wounds, causing the country to suffer.

It will be recalled that Onanuga stated that before Tinubu took office, the administration sold the country’s future by mortgaging its oil to get loans, leaving the country in massive debt. He claimed that this was the situation that President Bola Tinubu faced, and that it was his obligation to stop the country from bleeding to death.

Reacting to his story, Oseni denied his assertions and stated that the President’s efforts have instead reopened old wounds, causing the country to suffer.

He wrote: “Someone said the President stopped the country from bleeding in the first year, that’s not true, he Infact lacerated old wounds to start the country’s bleeding, as we speak today the economy is anaemic with inflation, joblessness, devaluation of the currency and low growth.”
