PROF. ADESOPE APPOINTED APOSTOLIC FAITH HEAD

First ever African, Nigerian born, Professor Olusola Adesope has emerged as the new Superintendent General of the Apostolic Faith Church, after 118 years of its establishment.

The announcement was made by the Superintendent General of the Apostolic Faith Church, Reverend Darrel Lee during the morning devotional service on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the church’s world headquarters in Portland Oregon,  United States of America, USA

The service, which was part of the annual Portland camp meeting convention, drew delegates from around the world. Reverend Derrel Lee used the occasion to announce his successor, a Nigerian born Reverend Olusola Adesope, Professor of educational psychology, who hails from Ibadan,  Oyo State, as the 6th Superintendent General of the Apostolic Faith Church.

Reverend Adesope, who will now oversee the affairs of the church worldwide wide, following the retirement of his predecessor, on Sunday July 7, 2024 is happily married with children.

It would be recalled that Apostolic Faith Church in West Africa started in Lagos, Nigeria with late Reverend Timothy Gbadebo Osokoya, Lucas Obakoya and DT Robins on October 14, 1944.
