STEVE ALABI: FROM BROADCASTING TO THE THRONE

Veteran Broadcaster and legal practitioner, Barr. Steve Alabi has been elected as the new Olosi of Osi in Ido/Osi local government area of Ekiti state.

Barr. Steve Alabi’s emergence as the new Olosi of Osi Ekiti was contained in a statement by the Osi Progressives Union, OPU, congratulating the Oba-elect and other stakeholders.

He will be succeeding the late Oba Oladiran Agunbiade who joined his ancestors on Wednesday, 4th August 2021.

The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), has graciously approved the coronation and the presentation of the staff of office to the new Olosi of Osi, Oba Steve Alabi.

A statement from the palace indicates that the event will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Olosi of Osi’s Palace, Osi-Ekiti.

Meanwhile, the Community appreciates His Excellency for this kind approval and hereby calls on all the illustrious Osi sons and daughters at home and abroad for great preparatory plans receiving the August visitor in the month of August in our community.

The statement reads, “Happy preparation and a big Congratulations to HRM, the Olosi of Osi, Oba Alayeluwa Stephen Babatunde Adegboyega Alabi, the exalted Chiefs of Osi Community, the noble men and women, VIPS, guests,the traditional age groups, Corporate Organisations and groups, formidable youths as well as Ladies and gentlemen to keep this memorable date.”
