TINUBU CELEBRATES 2BABA AT 50

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President hailed 2Baba as a “resilient and patriotic artiste” who has used his music to promote peace, unity, and good governance.

Tinubu commended the award-winning singer for his creativity, longevity in the industry, and international influence, describing him as one of Nigeria’s greatest cultural ambassadors.

“2Baba has consistently demonstrated passion and excellence in his craft. Beyond entertainment, he has been a strong advocate for peace and national development. His contributions to Afrobeats and global music remain a source of pride to Nigeria,” the statement read.

The President also wished 2Baba good health, fulfilment, and continued success in the years ahead.

2Baba, a pioneer of the Afrobeats movement and one of Africa’s most decorated artistes, turned 50 on September 18, 2025. He is celebrated for his evergreen hits, activism, and humanitarian efforts.
