TUNDE BAKARE CELEBRATES IN STYLE

A host of distinguished dignitaries, political leaders, and well-wishers gathered on Monday to celebrate the 70th birthday of Pastor Tunde Bakare, the founder of the Citadel Global Community Church, at a special thanksgiving service held in Lagos.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who attended the service, shared pictures from the event on social media, expressing his joy at joining others to commemorate the milestone.

He wrote, “Today, I attended a special celebration service to commemorate the 70th birthday of Pastor Tunde Bakare, Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church.”

In addition to the celebration, Sanwo-Olu revealed that Bakare’s autobiography, titled The Last, But Definitely Not the Least, was officially launched at the event.

Notable political figures, such as Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat, were also present.

The celebration was further graced by prominent figures, including the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, whose arrival was captured in videos shared by veteran journalist and publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu.

A host of former governors and monarchs also in attendance included former Ogun State Governors Olusegun Osoba and Senator Ibikunle Amosun, former Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi, and the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.

While celebrating Bakare, President Bola Tinubu praised his service to the nation, describing him as “one of Nigeria’s most influential voices.”
