WE EXPECT ATIKU TO LEAD PROTEST, APC SCRIBE

Senator Ajibola Basiru, National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC),has said that he anticipated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would lead the planned nationwide protest.

Basiru made this comment during an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Wednesday.

The comment was in response to Atiku’s recent criticisms of the Tinubu administration.

Atiku Abubakar criticized the Federal Government and its agencies for allegedly trying to obstruct the planned protest on August 1.

He argued that the government’s efforts to prevent the protest were unjustified and suppressed democratic expression.

This criticism was part of a broader stance by Atiku and his supporters, who have expressed their dissatisfaction.

They’ve not been satisfied with the current administration’s policies and governance.

In Ajibola Basiru’s words, he said, “As far as I am concerned, talk is very cheap. I expect Atiku Abubakar on the day of the protest to lead. Nobody has stopped somebody to protest.
