WIKE: HOW I MONITOR THE MEDIA

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he personally keeps tabs on media reports about himself, saying he prefers to monitor what he described as his “enemies” are saying rather than relying on aides.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Wike explained that he regularly watches prime-time news across major Nigerian television stations, including Africa Independent Television (AIT), TVC News, and Channels Television.

He noted that his habit often stretches late into the night, as he sometimes revisits broadcasts around midnight to ensure he is fully informed before going to bed.

Wike said, “I watch news all the time, AIT News, I will watch, TVC News, Channels, I watch all of them.

“I don’t wait for anyone to come and tell me what my enemies are saying about me, I hear it by myself.

“So you can see that I know the time, even by 12 I still come back to watch everything, I make sure that I watch before I go and sleep.”
