WIZKID’S ‘LONG LIVE LAGOS’  FILM OUT SOON

The highly anticipated documentary “Long Live Lagos,” chronicling the life and career of Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Wizkid, will premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

The film will take audiences on Wizkid’s remarkable journey from his humble beginnings in Lagos to his rise as a global music icon. It will highlight his influence on both the African and international music scenes, featuring insights into his creative process, career milestones, and cultural impact.

The 2025 Tribeca Festival is scheduled to run from June 4 to June 15 and will include live conversations and special performances, adding an interactive element to the screenings. This year’s edition promises to be an exciting celebration of diverse storytelling and creativity.

Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid, 34, has released several successful albums, including “Superstar” (2011), “Ayo” (2014), “Sound from the Other Side” (2017), and “More Love, Less Ego” (2022). His latest album, “Morayo,” was released on November 22, 2024, as a tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
