KUNLE AFOD PLEADS FOR SACKED WORKERS

Nollywood actor and film director Kunle Afod has made a heartfelt plea to the management of Enyo Nigeria filling station, Ojodu Barga Branch, to forgive staff involved in an incident that led to their indefinite suspension.

According to Afod, he stopped at the filling station to refuel his car and engaged in a friendly game of Yoruba proverb games with the staff.

The staff were reportedly happy to see him, and Afod gave them a token amount as a gift to encourage them to learn more about Yoruba culture and tradition.

However, when Afod uploaded a video of the interaction on his Instagram, he received a DM from one of the staff requesting that he take down the video, warning that it could lead to their sacking.

Afod said he immediately took down the video and later learned that the staff involved had been given indefinite suspension.

In a video plea, Afod asked the management to forgive the staff, stating that he did not know that the interaction was against the rules and regulations of the organization. He urged Nigerians to help him plead with the management for mercy.

Afod’s plea highlights the importance of compassion and understanding in the workplace. The actor’s intervention has sparked a conversation about the need for employers to consider the human impact of their decisions, particularly in situations where employees may not have intentionally done wrong.
