WASIU: WHY I’M ANGRY WITH KOLLINGTON

Famous Fuji artiste, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has revealed why he’s angry with his elder counterpart, Alhaji Kollington Ayinla.

According to Wasiu, Kollington refused to attend his mother’s funeral, which recently took place.

Kollington claimed he didn’t attend the funeral because Wasiu didn’t personally call to inform him about his mother’s passing, instead sending an invitation card. However, Wasiu insists this excuse is untenable, pointing out that he played a significant role when Kollington’s mother passed away.

The programme had attracted many dignitaries that included Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.

It had also sparked a major controversy after K1 expressed disgust at how Islamic clerics allegedly preferred to lay siege to his personal home for financial gains (‘ganu si’), instead of going to his parents’ houses where the mourning ought to be holding.

In an interview with Bamidele Adeyanju, whose podcast regularly digs into the world of the musical brand and related ones that include juju, Ayinde said the excuse given by Kollignton, that he (Wasiu) did not answer his call when he (Kollington) phoned to greet him after the mother’s death, was untenable.

insisted that Kollington had unbelievably wronged him by staying away.

According to him, he played a major role when Kollignton’s mother’s died.

“When the mothers of the late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and Alhaji Kollignton Ayinla died, I played the role of a good son to both of them. Why will Alhaji Kollignton cite an excuse not genuine for his absence when my own mum died?” Wasiu asked.
