OBA ADESUYI’S CORONATION TODAY BY ADEOLU ADEYEFA

The ancient town of Ilesa in Osun State is set to witness a momentous event today as Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, is officially crowned the 41st Owa Obokun and paramount ruler of Ijesaland.
In preparation for the high-profile coronation, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced heightened security measures. According to ASC Kehinde Adeleke, spokesperson for the Osun State NSCDC, a large deployment of personnel is already in place to control the crowd, prevent any disruptions, and safeguard both dignitaries and attendees.
NSCDC Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo emphasized that patrol teams are on the ground to provide a visible security presence and deter any threats. He also issued a stern warning to those with criminal intent to stay away from the event.
“We urge all guests to cooperate with security operatives to ensure the ceremony proceeds peacefully and successfully,” Sotiyo said.
