DAVID MARK HEADS FOR COURT

Former Senate President, David Mark, has approached the court seeking an order to restore the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reportedly removed some party officials.

The move marks a new twist in the escalating power struggle within the party, as factions battle for control of its national structure across the country.

Sources indicate that Mark is challenging INEC’s action, arguing that the removal of party officials was unlawful and undermines internal party processes.

The legal action is expected to determine who legitimately controls the ADC’s leadership, a development that could have significant implications ahead of future political alignments and elections.

This comes amid rising tensions within the party, with key stakeholders taking sides in what is fast becoming a nationwide leadership crisis.
