The meeting’ s discussion will be centered on Management‘s expectations with regards to the development and growth of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), formulation of strategies on how to ensure the smooth running of the Commission, as well as continuously encourage professionalism in line with the Commission’s regulatory responsibilities.
Mrs. Stella Erhunmwunsee, the Director, Human Resources and Administration, delivered the opening remarks and a brief on the Expanded Board of Management Meeting.
Welcoming staff on Grade Levels 15 and above to the 2023 Expanded Board of Management meeting (EBOM), Mall. Balarabe Shehu Ilelah, noted that the Expanded Board of Management meeting was an essential gathering of the Commission’s top management staff which is a forum to deliberate and appraise Strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the discharge of its responsibilities and mandate.
Mallam Ilelah added that the EBOM meeting gives top management of the Commission the privilege to share experiences, discuss challenges and at the same time, make some critical decisions that would ensure that the NBC meets its targets in the most effective and efficient ways possible in order to propel the Commission to greater heights.
The Director General noted that the Expanded Board of Management retreat was very significant, coming after a successful transition from one democratic government to another.
He commended the staff for the roles played in ensuring a successful monitoring of the coverage of the 2023 general elections by broadcast stations.
The Expanded Board of Management (E-BOM), of the NBC is made up of officers on Grade Levels 15 and above.
