AFRIFF TO HONOUR RMD, OTHERS

Organisers of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) have announced that they will be honouring Nollywood practitioners like Richard Mofe-Damijo also known as RMD, Kunle Remi, Ini Edo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Chidi Mokeme, Femi Adebayo and others with an outstanding performance award at the 12th edition of the event.

The movie stars shared the good news on their Instagram accounts on Saturday with an appreciation message to the organisers of the award.

RMD will be honoured for his performance as Paul Edima in the Netflix film The Black Book and Kunle Remi for his role as Saro in Anikulapo, while Femi Adebayo will be honoured for his performance in his self-produced film Jagun Jagun. Chidi Mokeme and Ini will receive awards for their performances in Shanty Town and Nse for her role in 4-4-4-4.

“I am deeply humbled to announce that will be honored at the 12th AFRIFF (African International Film Festival) award ceremony, proudly presented by MTN. This accolade celebrates my performance and role in “JAGUN JAGUN.”

The award ceremony will take place on the 11th of November, and I can’t wait to share this special moment with you. “JAGUN JAGUN” has been a labour of love, a project that poured my heart and soul into, and your unwavering support has meant the world to me. This recognition wouldn’t have been possible without your encouragement and love.am immensely grateful to AFRIFF and MTN for acknowledging and dedicate this to my team, the cast and crew of Jagun Jagun and every other person who worked to make it a success,” an excited Femi Adebayo wrote.
