AJIREBI RECOUNTS FIVE NAIRA COURT SENTENCE

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kayode Seinde, professionally known as Ajirebi, has recounted how a judge condemned him to prison for three months with a condition of paying the sum of #5.00 for his freedom many years ago.

The comic actor revealed this in a recent interview with one of his junior colleagues in the Nollywood industry, Abiola Adebayo.

According to Ajirebi, he was arrested while selling goods in the street with his colleagues for beating a man.

The veteran however said that he was never involved in such act but was arraigned in court and the judge sentenced him to three months imprisonment with a bail condition of #5.00.

“I was selling goods in the street when one of my colleagues slapped a man claiming that the man wanted to hit him with his car.  Afterwards, the police came and we all started running.

“Unfortunately, I was caught by a policeman and we were all taken to Central Police Station from where we were taken to court.

“The judge said that we beat a bank manager and he sentenced us to three months imprisonment with a bail conditions of paying #5.00, that was when I started begging people.” He said.
