Oseni, in a statement on X on Monday, lamented over the demand by the political party.
“APC wants us to give them 1 million dollars to interview their governorship candidate in Edo,” he said.
He added that he will “rather use the one million dollars to build classroom blocks, primary healthcare centres, soft loans for entrepreneurs, free healthcare screening for poor people, fertiliser donations to farmers, and many more.”
“If I get the one million dollars, that’s what I will do rather than give it to anyone to come for interviews,” he added.
Okpebholo, alongside Dennis Idahosa, his running mate for the September 21 Edo governorship election, will compete against Dr. Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other candidates.
