CAB DRIVER THREATENS ADUNNI WITH LEGAL ACTION

Popular Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade, has responded to a legal threat by a cab driver named Francis Njoku.

The disagreement between the film star and the Indrive cab driver stemmed from the latter’s alleged refusal to deliver the former’s package.

The drama started on Wednesday after Adunni called out Njoku and the ride-hailing service on Instagram.

The actress claimed the cab driver took off with her package and was not picking up calls.

“indrive.ng I have contacted you for hours but no response. One of your drivers has stolen my package. He ended the trip before getting to me and has refused to pick up,” the post reads in part.

“He called me to inform me he was at my estate and needed a code, I proceeded to send an access code.”

Her post triggered a chorus of condemnation with several users calling out the company.

In a follow-up post, Adunni revealed Njoku delivered her package after the ride-hailing service locked his profile.

She also shared screenshots of her conversations with Njoku and her fashion designer, who sent the package out.

In the screenshots, Njoku had tackled the film star for allegedly smearing his name. He also threatened to take the matter to court.

“You have made nonsense of my image and I have contacted my legal team and we’ll see you in court,” he said.

“You are not the person who requested the ride. Many human rights activists and lawyers have called me and think I won’t let it go that way. You must render an unreserved apology and ask Instablog to pull the post down.”

Adunni also shared her side of the story while blaming the driver for the incident.

“One thing about me is I do not lie nor cheat my fellow being. When we speak of change, let that change start with you! With the current economic state, everyone is doing what they can to stay afloat irrespective of your finances,” the post reads in part.

“In my whole adult life of ordering and delivering or using services of logistic companies, I have never encountered anyone as rude, uncivilized, ill-mannered, arrogant, entitled as Frances Njoku.”
