CONTENT HUB: NBC’S BOLD STRATEGY

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) in a bold move strategises how to create a content hub, first of its kind, to boost the Africast ’23, coming up this year. The commission calls it the first Nigerian Television and Film content hub.

The commission made this known in a press conference last week. The content HUB, which will be in collaboration with the Nigerian International Film & Television Summit (NIFS) will be at AFRICAST 2023 from October 24-26, in Lagos Nigeria.

The AFRICAST 2023 Content HUB is aimed at being a vibrant networking HUB for television and film experts with the aim to completely transform and revolutionize the television industry in Nigeria, as well as, the African Continent.

The programme will also create a platform for African broadcasters to be part of the AFRICAST 2023 Exhibition and Conference in order to enable broadcasters have easy access to affordable and quality local and international programming for their broadcast platforms.

“The Content Hub which is the first in Nigeria, will drive content acquisition, aggregation and the licencing/distribution of local and international programmes, which will cover over 300 television broadcasters in Nigeria across different film and Television content categories”, the statement read.
