EBUEBU IS NEW NBC DG

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Charles Ebuebu, as the Director General, National Broadcasting Commission, NBC.

This was announced on Thursday 19^th October, 2023 by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale in a statement issued in Abuja.

Mr. Charles Ebuebu is a highly experienced corporate and commercial law professional with over 20 years of experience being a global market expertise.

He also posseses a unique blend of intellectual property training, international business acumen and transactional legal skills.

With proven achievements in Digital Switch Over projects, eight years experience in channels /programmes acquisition and management in addition to significant contributions to the Media & Entertainment industries, Mr.Ebube has also been recognized for his innovation, creativity, and established  contacts in the broadcast industry

Mr. Charles Ebuebu’s  appointment is for a tenure of five years in the first instance.

Similarly, The President also appointed new Directors General/ CEO”s for the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Voice of Nigeria (VON), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and the Nigerian Press Council (NPC).

The Directors General of the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA) and Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) were also reappointed.
