EGO BOYO: ACTING WAS BORING

Veteran Nollywood actress and movie producer, Ego Boyo, has refuted the viral assumption that her husband restricted her from acting.

Speaking in a video of her latest interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo on Wednesday, Ego revealed why she left acting amid fame.

Contrary to the public assumption that she was restricted by her husband, Ego stated that it was her personal decision to quit acting for movie production.

“I left acting when I found out that I enjoyed producing more than acting. It was boring. The blogs wanted it to be something like my husband banned me from it, they wanted it to be sensational and it was not.”

The 56-year-old, who started acting in the early 1980s, became famous following her role in Checkmate, an early 90s series.
