ENYEAMA EYES EAGLES’ GOALPOST AGAIN

Vincent Enyeama, a former goalkeeper for Nigeria, has acknowledged that, given the opportunity, he would want to rejoin the national squad.

Most people agree that Enyeama is among the best goalkeepers to have ever played for the nation.

Before his contentious resignation from the Super Eagles in 2015 following a disagreement with former head coach Sunday Oliseh, the 41-year-old made 101 appearances for the team.

Enyeama did, however, state in an interview with Lagos Talks that he is not yet certified to train goalkeepers. It’s possible if they want me to follow in the footsteps of Zidane, who Real Madrid trusted despite his lack of certification.

“I don’t have a problem if they wake up tomorrow and say, Vincent, come and be part of the setup- I will gladly do it. I can never say no to my country, I have always said that.

“I can never say no to Nigeria. I will bring my experience over the years in Europe, and we will do it. But they have to call me first.”
