EUCHARIA: MY DAD WAS AGAINST MY EDUCATION

Eucharia Anunobi has detailed her strained relationship with her father, who she said opposed her education and career ambitions simply because she was a girl.

Speaking during an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, the Nollywood star-turned-evangelist revealed that her father saw no value in educating a female child, believing that a girl would eventually marry and take her husband’s name, leaving no legacy for her own family.

“My father was against me going to school… it was a thing of displeasure for him. From secondary school, he was like he is not interested in my education,” she said.
