FALCONS CRASH OUT

Nigeria will not play in the quarter-final at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

This comes after the Super Falcons lost to England via penalty shoot-out in the Round of 16 on Monday.

Nigeria had played a 0-0 draw with England after 120 minutes.

Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie missed their spot-kicks during the penalty shoot-out.

The quarter-final stages will take place on Friday and Saturday.
