HOW I OVERCAME EARLY OBSTACLES, EYINOKA

Popular Nollywood actress, Biola Adebayo, better known as Biola Eyinoka, has opened up about the challenges she faced early in her career during an appearance on the show Nollywood on Radio.

She shared insights into the struggles she encountered while trying to establish herself in the industry, highlighting the perseverance and determination it took to overcome those obstacles and achieve success in Nollywood.

She revealed that she missed out on acting opportunities because she chose not to date some powerful figures in the industry.

Adebayo also mentioned the pressure she faced to lighten her skin, with someone advising her to “tone it up a little” for better career prospects.

Additionally, she spoke about her podcast, “Talk To B,” which she launched due to her natural talent for connecting with others.

She explained: “For some reason, people are drawn to me and trust me with their secrets—even those I am not close to. I began to think about how I could impact people’s lives beyond just presenting and decided to create a platform where I could connect with and support ordinary people.”

The podcast has had a powerful effect, improving many lives in a short period.

Adebayo mentioned that over N10 million has been raised for various needs, including more than 35 million naira for people looking for homes.

It has also assisted those dealing with marital problems, provided urgent help, and offered support for therapy or counseling.

Adebayo emphasised: “Talk To B” has emerged as a lifeline for those in need, especially for abuse survivors and anyone struggling with life’s hardest moments.
