ISLAMIC TV AND RADIO KICK OFF KATSINA

A renowned Katsina state based Islamic scholar Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka has established an Islamic television and radio stations in Katsina state.

The cleric also established a junior and senior secondary school for learning western education in Dutsinma local government area of the state.

Commissioning the television and radio stations known as ‘Qur’an TV/Radio on Saturday, the cleric explained that the idea to establish the media outfit was meant to propagate his preachings and that of other fellow clerics.

According to him, the conventional media does not give prominence to religious activities as they have a lot of political programmes, hence the need for establishment of media outfits for religious programmes.

The cleric alongside the media house, also commissioned a junior and senior secondary school known as “Masussuka International School all in Dutsinma, Katsina state.

He said the school would give students access to both Qur’anic and western education at the same time.
