JOSHUA:THE EXPERIENCE OF A KIDNAPPED JOURNALIST

Joshua Rogers, a reporter for Channels Television in Rivers State, who was released by kidnappers on Friday after 24 hours in their custody has given some snippets of his experience in the hands of his abductors.

The Channels TV Reporter was abducted on Thursday near his home in Port Harcourt and was released by his abductors at around 11 pm on Friday.

Though his abductors had allegedly called his wife to demand N30 million ransom to set him free, it was not clear if any money was paid to secure his freedom as at the time of writing this story.

While giving hints into his experience in captivity, Rogers, in his a comment he posted on his Facebook page few hours after he was released said he was blindfolded for about 24 hours and left in the rain for more six hours by his abductors.

But he said he made it home in good health at about 11pm the next day.

He posted his soaked white singlet and black pair of shoes he wore when he was abducted and throughout his abduction.

According to Rogers “The outpouring of love is incredible. Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts.

“Despite being blindfolded for almost 24 hours and sleeping in the rain for more than 6 hours, I made it home safely and in good health at 11pm last night”.

Expectedly, there have been wide jubilation among journalists, friends and associates since the news of his release.
