LEAH, CHIBOK GIRL, NOW MARRIED TWICE

Rafiu Kuteyi, an author who wrote a book about Leah Sharibu’s situation, has spoken about her continued captivity. Leah was one of the Dapchi schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram, a terrorist group in 2018. While the rest of the girls have been freed, Leah remains held by the group.

Speaking in a video shared by TVC, Kuteyi said he heard that Leah was reportedly forced to give up her faith and marry one of the Boko Haram leaders. He said it was also reported that after Leah’s first husband was killed in an air raid, she was forced to marry another Boko Haram member and now has two children.

In his words: “We heard she was married to one of the Boko Haram terrorist leader and in the process of air raid, the husband was killed. It was reported that she was remarried to a second husband and as we speak, she has two children. However, I don’t believe that should change her faith”
