He pointed out that it was the responsibility of the Media to use the Medium to raise awareness, educate citizens, and empower communities with the knowledge they need to adapt to a changing climate.
Mr. Ebuebu was excited to introduce the “Green Broadcasting Pledge” which is a public commitment that invites every Nigerian radio station and broadcaster to embrace sustainable broadcasting practices and to integrate climate awareness into their programming.
This pledge represents our collective effort to reduce environmental impact while championing climate education.

He stressed that the NBC’s “Green Broadcasting Pledge” is more than a commitment—it is a call to action. By integrating sustainable practices and robust climate education into our daily programming, which positions the radio as a vital player in the national and global fight against climate change.
