Lecture on the Eight Priority Areas of Renewed Hope Agenda by Barr. (Mrs.) Uche Chikwem of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU)
The Lecture centered on the Ministerial deliverables of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr.President, which is made up of eight priority areas .
Barr. Uche Chikwem highlighted these Eight Presidential Priorities and Ministerial Key Deliverables and discussed how progress review, challenges, and strategies are set to help the NBC refine its approach and improve on key performance areas identified, which will also help navigate the challenges that have been identified so far.
She further narrowed down the Commission’s Deliverables to five, which includes:
– Regulatory Frameworks: Developing and implementing effective regulatory frameworks for the broadcasting industry.
– Content Standards: Ensuring broadcasting content meets certain standards and guidelines.
– Industry Monitoring: Monitoring the broadcasting industry for compliance with regulations and standards.
– Capacity Building: Building capacity within the NBC and the industry to ensure effective service delivery to the public.
In conclusion the facilitator did a Progress Review on the Commission, where the Commission’s progress in achieving its deliverables were reviewed.
She identified challenges and obstacles in implementing the deliverables and further recommended strategies for better results and improved performance.
