NEW BON CHAIR BRINGS HIGH HOPES, PUBLISHER

The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON, today held the Investiture ceremony of the new Chairman of the   Organisation, Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos at the Hawthorn Hotel, Abuja.

At the event are eminent media chiefs, including the outgoing Chairman of BON, Mr. John Ugbe, the representative of the Director General of NBC, the BON Vice Chairman, Mr. Tony Akiotu, NOA DG and many others.

Broadcasters Int’l Magazine was at the occasion as a partner.

In his goodwill message, Mr Clement Ige, the publisher, Broadcasters Int’l, noted that the establishment of the Organisation helped the broadcast industry in getting the essential and required professional lift.

“With the establishment of the broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria in the late eighties, the broadcast industry got the required and essential professional lift. The beautiful thing is that both BON and the broadcast industry were further lifted into new orientations by leaders of the organization, particularly the chairmen and executive secretaries.

Each leadership was refreshing, and this is important and instructive. The outgoing chairman, Mr. John Ugbe was solid, and the new chairman is bringing high expectations of years of professionalism.

We at Broadcasters International Magazine, Dr. Yemi Farounbi, the chairman, Clement Ige, the publisher and other eminent members of our Board, join others to welcome the new chairman of BON on board. We look forward to holding the first Stakeholders Summit on the Creative Industry with him.” He said.
