The Nigerian international has yet to be included in a matchday squad for Antonio Conte’s side.
According to Skysport in Italy, the Nigerian forward would prefer a move to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli in a four-year deal with his former employers; Napoli expected to earn £67.3m (€80m) plus add-ons for the Nigeria international.
It will be recalled that Osimhen had reportedly agreed to join Chelsea on a €350,000 weekly pay, taking a major step closer to realising his dream Premier League move, but some significant news regarding the Chelsea target reveals that Osimhen would rather ply his trade in the Saudi Pro League.
Meanwhile, Media personality, Frank Edoho, has urged the Super Eagles forward to reject Chelsea’s advances and accept a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli.
Edoho, a hardcore fan of Chelsea, known for his candid opinions, took to Twitter to advise Osimhen to prioritize financial security over European glamour.
“As a Chelsea fan, of course, I would want to see @victorosimhen9 at Chelsea but as a Nigerian, I’d say, ”Victor, are you nuts? Take the damned money and go to Saudi”, he wrote.
Edoho reasons that Osimhen risks facing immense pressure and uncertainty at Chelsea, which could impact his career trajectory.
“If he comes to Chelsea or PSG, and he doesn’t hit those numbers anymore, he’ll start getting offers from Bournemouth next season,” Edoho wrote.
