OSIHMEN SETS FOR TURKEY

Napoli has reached an agreement with Galatasaray to sign Victor Osimhen on a one-year loan deal.

The Nigerian international was unable to complete a transfer deal to Chelsea just before the transfer window in England closed and subsequently missed out on a move to Saudi Arabian team, Al-Hilal.

As per football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, “Napoli have accepted a straight loan proposal but with no option to buy, and Galatasaray to cover about £10m of his salary.”

According to a statement on Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Monday, Napoli’s release clause has been reduced from €130m to €75m

The move also gives the Nigerian forward an option to break the clause for January in case top clubs approach him over a move.

Napoli has announced that Osimhen would not be reintegrated into the squad after a frustrating transfer debacle that saw Romelu Lukaku brought in as a direct replacement for Osimhen.
