PAT UTOMI AND TINUBU’S ”BEAST”

Pat Utomi, a Nigerian professor of political economy, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s official vehicle, nicknamed the Beast, is a kind of car that nobody living in Nigeria should even have to see.

In an interview with Atlanta Discuss Channel, Prof Utomi explained that Nigerian roads are not designed for such a vehicle. He said it was disturbing that such an expensive vehicle was bought in a country where basic infrastructure is still poor. Utomi also said the car was bought for about one billion naira.

In Utomi’s words: “Bola Tinubu even bought this ‘Beast’. Nobody who lives in Nigeria should see that kind of vehicles because Nigerian roads are not even designed for such vehicles. But just in a show of power, he paid I guess a billion naira for the kind of ride the American president rolls out in. All those show clearly where the problems are in Nigeria in terms of the consciousness of those who are in leadership position”
