RASHEEDAT LEADS SUPER FALCONS TO WIN

Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, delivered an impressive performance on Tuesday, scoring twice to secure a 2-0 victory for Nigeria over Cameroon in an international friendly held at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta.

Ajibade opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a well-taken penalty, before doubling the lead in the 43rd minute following a slick team move set up by Rinsola Babajide.

This latest win marks Nigeria’s 15th triumph in 21 encounters with the Indomitable Lionesses and serves as a significant morale boost ahead of the 13th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled for July 5–26 in Morocco.

With nine WAFCON titles already under their belt, the Super Falcons will be gunning for a record-extending 10th championship at this year’s tournament.
